Hi Sarah~
First congratulations on your recent accomplishment, and may I add that you have an amazing look! If you have a moment I’d be interested to know what advice and direction you would give to another young woman like yourself who is interested in breaking into the business. My daughter has already done one shoot promoting boxing gear and has appeared in a music video. Also, would you advise Facebook, Linkedin, and other sites to promote bio and profile pictures?
Thanks in advance for any direction and advise you can give. Again, congratulations on your cover and wish you every success going forward.
Warm regards,
Melanie Attard
Hi Melanie! First of all, thank you so much for the kind words! Very much appreciated. Not only that, but thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment as well- we love to interact with our readers ๐
May I ask you a few things about your daughter first, so that I can better answer your questions specifically? How old is she? How tall is she? What areas of modeling is she most interested in? How did she book the gigs that you’ve described?
As far as Facebook, LinkedIn, etc… YES!! I highly recommend the use of all of these social networking sites to promote modeling ventures. My highest recommendations go to: ModelMayhem.com, Facebook.com, Twitter.com, LinkedIn.com, and Instagram.com – these are my top 5, but I can send you a longer list through your email if you would like. I have booked countless modeling jobs using social mediums like these, and as long as you are smart and safe in terms of doing your research first (there ARE some crazy people out there looking to scam naive young girls), I really don’t see a downside to maintaining an active profile on each of these websites.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to comment again, and I will be happy to help however I can! ๐
xoxo
